Hubra
Club software for Swiss clubs. Members, fees, events, votes and groups in one app, run for the club with updates and encrypted backups. All a member needs is a browser.
Status: pilot phase First club: VollBuild makerspace Other clubs: none yet Hosting: Europe, FADP & GDPR Languages: German, English Clients: any browser Source: closed, on GitHub for CI and IaC Self-host: Docker Compose or Kubernetes Pricing: on request, by club size
What it does
Everything a club board does, in one place.
The board works in the same app as the members. Everyone sees what they need, and nothing more.
Members
Applications, membership tiers, offices and a member directory each member opts into.
Finance
Fee schedules, Swiss QR bills, automatic reminders and payment matching from a camt.054 bank file.
Events and training
Recurring sessions, sign-ups, guests and attendance with one tap, plus push reminders.
Polls and votes
Vote online, by proxy too, for all members or just one group.
Security
Passkeys, hosting in Europe, a key per club and encrypted backups.
Plugins
Payments, bookings, inventory, documents, keys, a till, a Discord bridge and more, from the plugin catalogue.
$ show security
Built for members' data.
Clubs keep addresses, payments and sometimes data about children.
Hosted in Europe
Servers and backups in European data centres, following the Swiss FADP and the EU GDPR.
A key per club
Each club has its own space and its own keys for confidential data such as door codes.
Encrypted backups
Daily, and encrypted before they leave the server, so not even the storage provider can read them.
Sign-in
Passkeys, one-time codes and a mail for every sign-in from a new device. Clubs can require 2FA for the board.
Audit log
The board sees who changed what and when. Support access needs a reason, is time-limited and shows as a banner.
Run it yourself
With Docker Compose or Kubernetes, for federations or clubs with their own IT.

Background
Why I built it
I wanted club software that looks good, has every feature I wanted, and is priced so that even small clubs can afford it.
It started for VollBuild, the makerspace club I'm part of, and grew from there into what it is today. Hubra isn't public or in production yet, and no other clubs are on it so far.
Hubra is closed source. The code lives on GitHub for the automation and infrastructure as code that comes with it.
